Important information if you claim Universal Credit

Your rent/property charges increase on Monday 6th April 2026. If you claim Universal Credit, please update your housing costs on this date to avoid delays. It is important you do not report the changes before this date. We will then verify the details you have reported. To report the change Sign in to your Universal Credit account or call the UC helpline on 0800 328 5644 if you don't have an online account.
